all other deposit-bearing beverage containers

PEI used beverage container return locations accept and issue refunds for the empty containers of ready-to-drink beverage products you have purchased in PEI that are deposit-bearing. Deposit-bearing means that you paid a deposit on top of the price of the item when you bought the beverage. Note that you may also have paid a container recycling fee (CRF), also known as an “eco-fee” on the item – the CRF is not the same as the deposit and is non-refundable. Information for Beverage Producers & Retailers
Producers and retailers of beverage products in PEI should ensure the appropriate fees are being collected at retail. Producers are required to register with Encorp Atlantic and have reporting and remitting obligations. More information is available via Encorp’s corporate website.
